Thousands of years into the futures.. Due to man kinds own stupidity and lack of awareness the world has now froze over. Perhaps some divine punishment for their lack of kindness for the world so generously given to them? Once they realized where the world was headed the smartest of the humans went to the strongest predators. The ones they believed the most capable to survive in this, the harshest of environments. Most went to the strong and able bodied polar bear. While others went to the cunning and swift wolves. Others went to the intelligent and silent Snow Leopards while the rest went to the rare and stronger still feline, the white tiger. Slowly the humans realized they to must beg the creatures the so crudely treated before to help them. Soon almost all of the human race, at least those not to proud, were on their knees. Begging the animals to help them, wailing and apologizing while tears streamed down their cheeks.
Taking pity on the humans the creatures shared something sacred with them. Part of their wild spirit, their endurance, their strength, their grace, their instincts. All humans who got this rare gift soon realized they could shape shift if you will into the animal who's spirit they inherited. Almost all creatures in this foreign icy land are white. The humans who had gained the animal spirit were no exception. When they changed they realized that each of them had a splotch of color somewhere on their figures. Some of them had it on their face, while others had it on their inner thighs. The colors ranged from a simple beige to a dark black or a blazing red.
Now all humans who refused the animals generous offer were dead, as well as any animals who just couldn't adapt fast enough. Among those creatures were many prey sources.. Now realizing they had a new dilemma they were running out of food in a world ruled by predators. On the verge of dying all the creatures gathered together, and thought of a plan. They soon came up with only one solution.. And began attacking each other viciously, attempting to savagely eat each other. The creatures now know this day as the Night of Red Moon. God.. Unable to watch his beings kill each other any longer came to a small Wolver.. Ireka and gave him a message. If the wolves howled every full moon, he would send prey for them. Seals for the polar bears, and deer for the rest. Ireka quickly told the elders of this strange dream with the divine being and they were eager to tell the others. Soon word spread and all the Wolvers, Bearins, Tigeans, and Leporas gathered. The Wolvers eager to get food tilted up their heads and let out a mighty cry, a cry for food. And almost instantaneously the snow quivered and out rose a sheer white deer. And every full moon the wolves must do this, or risk starvation.
